StreetWear: New Collection Haul!

Hii friends...

Just a few days back when I was going to my office, I came across this amazing Revlon Shop in Nehru Place, Delhi; and I got really excited and went inside. As I entered the shop I saw the new Limited Edition Spider Man Collection and it was so bright and funky... really loved it..
As I was exploring the stuff at the store I saw a street wear counter and their new collection with all the girly packaging was sooo eye catchy and attractive that I couldn't stop my self from checking it out...
The cosmetics were not only cute but also very affordable.
They have come out with the most bright shades of nailpaints, some everyday shades of lip glosses, foundation, compact as well as a huge color range of lipsticks.
Here are some pics of the collection!
What I picked: I picked up a lip-gloss named Party Melon; just fell in love with the name itself :P :D and a lipstick for my mommy in the shade Ruby Riddle.
Also a compact as I was running out on my stock of compact and with the killing summers I knew this had to be in my purse at all times! I also picked up the Kajal from the same range, mainly because of the packaging.
Street Wear Compact in Neutral ; Price: Rs. 160/-, Kajal; Price: 99/-, Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Party Melon Rs. 150/-, Lipstick in the shade Ruby Riddle; Price: 180/-

I picked up a lip-gloss named Party Melon; just fell in love with the name itself :P :D and a lipstick for my mommy in the shade Ruby Riddle. The gloss is one of the best in the market within this price range; it is well pigmented and the color is super pretty. This shade is I suppose the only one which is not glittery or anything also the color stays on for 3-4 hours, and when the color fades away there is a nice tint that is left on the lips and keeps the lips moisturized for a loong time. Highly recommended!
The lipstick is also quite moisturizing and is available in a lott of shades and I'm sure every girl will find one color to interest her for sure! though the color does not last a very loong time, but it is nice for those on a budget.
I also picked up the compact as I was running out on my stock of compact and with the killing summers I knew this had to be in my purse at all times! I also picked up the Kajal from the same range, mainly because of the packaging.
The kajal from this range is something that you can totally skip, firstly because it is not super dark.. you would have to swipe it 3-4 times to get that deep black color; secondly it smudges and is not waterproof.
I also wanted to pick up a few nail paints but they did not have all of them in stock I didn't, but I am surely gonna buy some soon.
This is it for now.. will be back again with some other fun post soon! Byee :D

Avon Plug and Play: Gloss & Lip and Cheek Tint Review and Swatch!

Hello Girls..
I am back to share a quick review about 2 products from Avon's Plug and Play range, It's their gloss and lip-cheek tint duo! These were launched by Avon a loong time back and people are not very familiar with this product range anymore. As I was browsing through the catalog I saw a tempting discount on their plug and play range.. and I ordered this due for myself..
Price: Rs. 199/- each; I got these at 99/- each (50% off)
Quantity: 3.5 ml
Packaging: Comes in a hard plastic-glass mini tubes with a wand and sponge, pretty much like that of a gloss, its actually the first thing that tempted to to buy this product! <3
Lip and Cheek Tint: This is an affordable option for college going girls who want to try out tints like these and is very easily blendable, does not feel sticky or made up.. Does not contain shimmer, so its good for daily wear and gives a matte finish.. Decently pigmented.
Lip Gloss in Fuchsia Shine: This is a clear gloss, I was very excited about this one as I thought the color would come out really well.. but got a little disappointed when I applied it on my lips. Though it can be used over a matte lipstick to give an illusion of a gloss or to add a bit of shine. It is a bit stick so one should not go overboard with this gloss.
Final Words: This duo fared decently, and I would recommend the Lip and Cheek tint to a friend majorly because of its affordability and packaging. The gloss on the other hand is something you can totally skip out.

Avon Fruity Lipsticks Review & Swatches!

Hello Friends..
I am back with another review post and this its about the new, well not so new Lipsticks that Avon launched a few months back.. Its because of my laziness that this post got soo delayed whereas I have these lipsticks laying in my vanity from a long time!
As we all know that Avon is one of those brands that launches very affordable yet good quality products for college goes and makeup loving young girls who are always on the lookout for affordable products.
Here is one such lipstick collection that it launched with an affordable price tag and fruity flavors!
Pop Love Lipsticks

Price: Rs. 199/- but I got these for Rs. 130/- in monthly offer!
Quantity: 4gms
Variants: Strawberry, Watermelon and Chocolate
I got 2 out of these 3 shades available, Strawberry and Watermelon.
The third one is whisper pink from the normal simply pretty lipstick range.

My Experience: I don't use lipsticks but got these from my mom, as she wanted to try out a few lipsticks from Avon. According to her the lipsticks are quite moisturizing much like our lip balms and these also have a good color pay off. These lipsticks have a very fruity fragrance which is not very overpowering in fact these smells so delicious that you might want to taste them :P
One drawback on these lippies is that they are not very long lasting, though your lips stay well moisturized but the color does not stay for any longer than 2-3 hours.. that is stretching it!!
Also another thing that I love about these lipsticks is their packaging; the colors are so vibrant and peppy that these look really pretty laying in my vanity. Talking about the colors, I was a bit excited about the strawberry(dark maroon red) one coz I thought it would have a beautiful pink shade, but ended up liking watermelon better because of the shade(scarlet red).
Left(Purple) : Whisper Pink; Center(Red): Watermelon; Right(Pink): Strawberry

Final Words:
Its an affordable lipstick with an average staying power and a good color payoff. The USP of this Pop Love Lipstick range is the fragrance which is fruity and nice. Though what more can one ask for this price range, it gets a 3.5 on 5 from me.

I'm back + My July Haul!

Hii friends..
I am back after a long break from the blogging world. I wasn't posting much because of many reasons.. the most important out of which was admission process for my further education! I will be posting more on that some other time! Also I couldn't post because I was travelling and holidaying a lot in July.

Some of you who follow me on Instagram must have seen the pics!
But now that I am back, I will try to post at least twice a week :) :D and although I was out from the blogging world, I did not stay away from Shopping, and got a few new stuff to try! Enjoy the pics:

I must admit that I was literally drooling after looking at what all other beauty bloggers are buying from the new street wear collection and wanted to get a few things in my kitty too.. So on my visit to the mall, I rushed to the Revlon counter and these things...
Street Wear Color Rich Kajal Rs. 99/-, Street Wear Color Rich Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Party Melon Rs. 150/-, Color Rich Lipstick in Ruby Riddle Rs. 180/-,  Perfection Compact in Neutral Rs. 160/-
I also bought 2 new eyeliners to try out one from the Avon Simply Pretty Collection which was on offer for this month, So I got it for Rs. 79/- and the new Elle18 water proof eyeliner priced at Rs. 85/-
I found these amazing rip offs of the Revlon nail art pens at a very cheap price so couldn't afford to miss it.. So I got them in three colors! *loveatfirstsight*
As the festive season is now approaching and also because I was running out of the basic shades of nail paints, I rushed to the nearest NewU Store and look what they had on offer.. I got these cute baby lips pucker up key chains free.. which I was longing for since a looong time but couldn't find them anywhere.. So I got Keep up the flame and Orange Fix from the colorshow range!

When I got back home from a looong vacation, I was surprised to see what was waiting for me at home! My prize from Elle18, its their juicy lip balm in the shade Juicy Red!

Love <3

Maybelline Lip Polish Glam 2 & Pop 5!

Hello friends...
Today I am back again with another amazing Maybelline product and this time its their Lip Polish, which is there most latest launched LipGloss cum Lipstick cum LipBalm range. When this product was launched last year girls went gaga over it trying to check out their shade range and the formula that these were made with and all that hustle-bustle tempted me so much that I also went ahead and bought 2 of these!
The 2 shades that I picked up were Glam 2 and Pop 5

Price: Rs. 450/-
Quantity: 5ml
Shades: The lip polishes come in a wide variety of 15 shades to chose from and I am pretty sure their is atleast one shade for every girl out there.
I am not going to go into the ingredient list, description and claims; coz they can be found easily over the internet, just going to express my views for this product!

My experience:
I must admit I love both the shades soo much and these are the only 2 lip products that I use whenever I head out somewhere.. They give just the right amount of shine to the lips (lipgloss) and moisture lips soo well that you dont need to apply any balm under it(lipbalm). Also they give color to lips and in just 2 swipes its opaque (lipstick). So for me this passes the test and the claims that Maybelline is making with them. Also they stay on my lips for a good 4-5 hours and then leave a slight tint of color with moisture which is an added benefit. The right way to use them is to apply a single coat and then try to blend it and wait for sometime because of the formula that these lip polishes are made of it tends to change its texture and only after a few seconds if required apply a second coat.

The picture here shows the color of these 2 lip polishes (Glam 2, Pop5 respectively) in natural light above pic; and with flash below pic.

Another great thing about these lip polishes is their packaging; which is so classy and almost gives an impression of these being lipsticks (with the bullet showing from the transparent body), it is when the cap is twisted that I could make out that these are glosses with leaf shaped applicator.

As for shades these 2 are the most pretty ones in the whole collection, Glam 2 which is a bright coral color with a bit of shimmer; whereas Pop 5 is a bright pink color which is just the best color summers acc. to me.

Overall:
I would highly recommend these lip glosses to all you beauties there.. I would insist that you go to the nearest Maybelline counter to you and pick u a shade you like, coz you don't wanna miss this amazing 3-in-1 Lip product! :LoveStruck:

Lacto Calamine Oil Control Lotion & FaceWash Review!

Hi friends!

I am here for a quick review about a great product that I found on my trip to the grocery shopping with my mom! :P
I am talking about the newly launched Lacto Calamine Oil Control range which I think is a life saver product sent my god!!
I was on a hunt for a good moisturizer/lotion for myself which could moisturize my face but not make it oily; and also an oil controlling facewash which would not make my skin too dry! So I came across this 2 products and thought of giving them a try, and just to my luck I found this trial size pack at the grocery store, so I grabbed them asap!!
Price & Quantity: This pack of facewash and lotion 30ml each costed me Rs. 55/-
I got a great deal as the facewash which is alone worth Rs. 30/- was free with the lotion!

How it works: TRI-ACTION Nourishing Formula:
Natural Kaolin Clay exfoliates,  Active Zinc Oxide helps remove blemishes, Pure Glycerine Moisturises

My Experience:
This is how I looked after using the FaceWash and Lotion!
and I loved the result I mean because I swear I haven't really edited the pic or anything but the kind of non oily glow that this product gave me was to die for! I have been loving it... though the summers are almost gone now but I am pretty sure all the oily skinned girls out there know that no matter what the season is... Our skin accumulates oil if not throughout the face, but at least on the T-Zone area.
           "Enjoy a problem free summer"
So I can see myself using up this product quite a lot!!

Do leave your comments if you have tried it yet.

Very Me Cover Up Concealer Stick! Review & Swatches

Hello everyone,
Today I am here for a quick review about a product which is not only pocket friendly but also very effective in its job!
I am talking about the Very me Cover up Concealer by Oriflame! As I am a student and addicted to makeup I like exploring new products which are affordable too! I would prefer trying out affordable options that are available in the market rather than buying some High end brands.. So most of the products that you would find on my blog are very pocket friendly and just apt for college going girls which buy their makeup from their pocket money! :P Anyhoo coming back to the point of this post.. I came across this concealer while flipping through the monthly catalogs of ORIFLAME! and thought of giving this concealer a shot.

Claims: Get even, natural coverage with easy to use concealer stick.
Contains tea tree oil to calm blemishes and soothe your skin.

Price: Rs. 300-240/- Depends on the monthly catalog offers; I got it for Rs. 160/-

Quantity: 1gm.

Packaging: Comes in a retractable tube form in a black plastic body with a green lid!

Shades: Comes in 2 shades light and dark, the one that I picked up is Light.

My Experience: I was looking for a light concealer which could hide a few blemishes and my dark circles and could also be used on a daily basis, and guess what this concealer was answer to my problems.
This concealer can be used on a daily basis, and overs little flaws really well. I use my Garnier or Maybelline bb cream and use this concealer over it and my skin looks to natural and healthy. This does not make me look cakey or anything of that sorts. The staying power of this concealer is a bit of a problem stays for about 2-3 hours but I really don't stay out of my house for long so its fine! Also coz I have oily and sensitive skin, it did not break me out or oil up, so I was pretty happy with that.
Here are the swatches:

PROS:
- Affordable
- Handy, and easy to apply and blend
- Contains tea tree oil; helps calm blemishes
- Hides dark circles

CONS:
- only 2 shades available
- Availability: can only be bought through Oriflame representatives; also available at a few online portals.
- Staying power is less
- Quantity is too less only 1gm

All in all I would sum up by saying that if you a college going girl or someone who doesn't really need to cover up much flaws on the skin then its a good product for you. But if you are looking for a heavy duty concealer then you might wanna check something else.

Summer Essentials/Whats in my makeup travel bag?!

Hello,

I was planning to do this post a few weeks back.. but just coz I was lazing around all the summers, didn't really feel like writing a post!! :P
But coz I didn't want to delay it any further I thought I must do it now.. after all what would be the point in posting about summer essentials when summers are all gone!

Anyhoo coming back to the point of this post... These are my summer essentials or also things that I would carry in my makeup bag when I am out of my house!
So these are the face products that I love to use in the summers.. or actually always! I don't use heavy duty foundations or makeup base just cover my face with bb/cc creams coz they are light and do the work just perfectly.. My fav. ones are garnier bb cream for everyday use, maybelline bb stick if my skin is too oily or Lakme cc cream if my face is looking too dull and I want a nice dewy look!
For compacts the ones that I am currently loving are the Maybelline clear glow compact and Elle 18 glow compact. Both of these are just great for a natural look and don't make me look too made up or cakey! For my eyes there's not much that I use, I just use Kajal and the one that I am addicted to these days are the colossal one from Maybelline and Kajal Magique from Loreal! I also like using Hypershine Liner in Black from Maybelline to give the bold look to my eyes in the night time and for the daytime like just for a casual outing with friends I am hooked on to this Colossal kohl Turquoise which gives a pop of color to the eyes in summers! <3
As I generally use very minimal base for my face, I love to experiment with bold colors for my lips.. and I am not a lipstick person at all! I love glosses and lip balms way more than any makeup product! Therefore the ones that I am obsessed with atm are the maybelline lip polishes and also tinted lip balms! Also I got to try this Lip and Cheek tint by Avon and I quite liked it.. stay tuned for the review on that.. it would be coming up soon on my blog!
So these are all the products revealed! My go to summer products that stay with me on the go too!

Do let me know what are your summer essentials?!

New Launches: Avon & Oriflame!

Hii friends..
Today I am going to share snapshots of latest products by AVON & ORIFLAME. Every month I wait for the catalogs of these two brands as they are not available easily at counters or shops.. You need to find out representatives of Avon and Oriflame near your house to source the products... that is the main drawback for these products.. but now Nykaa stocks products from Oriflame. Anyhow coming back to the point of this post.. I am going to share some of their new launches and also some products that I might be laying my hands on this month!! (warning: pic heavy post)

Okk... so after lakme and a few other companies avon has also launched its cc cream.. excited for it??
Well these are not really new launches, but have been in the market for the longest time ever! But the reason why I have added them to thi post is because I might be getting a few of these because of the amazing discount :D :P

AVON SIMPLY PRETTY LIPSTICKS AND LIP BALM: will be reviewing these soon on my blog coz I have collected 2 of these from both the range... so stay tuned for that!!
Oriflame GlossI am in love with the packaging of these glosses!!! Might be ordering at least 2 shades from this range.

AVON GEL FOUNDATION & PRESSED POWDER: These look super cute and handy, and also very affordable! Really excited to try them out!!
AVON SIMPLY PRETTY NAIL PAINTS: Super affordable and look at these 3 new shades... aren't they soo pretty!

So these are the products that really attracted me on this month's catalog... Will be getting them soon.. Which products did you like? Do share in the comments below..

Maybelline Baby Lips Brights Collection!

Hi Friends..
Few months back Maybelline India launched some new variants for the Baby Lips called the Bright Collection, and I am a lip balm hoarder so these had to be added to my collection.. So I have this habit of buying at least one lip balm everytime  most of the time when I visit the mall. As these are limited edition I had to get them as soon as I could :P
So now when I own all the three from their brights collection, I thought its the best time to review about them..

These are available in 3 shades: Neon Rose, Tangerine Pop, Pink Peony
Price: Rs. 150/- for 4.5gms
Shelf Life: 36 months from Mfg.

What Maybelline has to say:
Introducing Maybelline Baby Lips New Bright Collection.

Pamper your lips with bright colors and continuous moisture. The next generation of lip balm is born, from Maybelline New York. Adult strength care for baby soft lips in vibrant translucent colors. 6 hours continuous moisture formula with vitamin E and jojoba oil helps to shed away rough dryness for supple smooth lips all day.

My Experience:
I love lip balms that come in this twist up tube packaging, these lip balms smell soo awesome like you literally have some perfume on which is not too overpowering but fades away after sometime. Some of the shades have minute shimmer particles which makes it look almost like a gloss on the skin.
- Neon Rose:
This shade is the brightest of them all, gives a fuchsia pink tint to the lips and that brightens up the whole face. A few swipes is enough to build up the color.

-Tangerine Pop
This shade gives a slight red color to the lips and has minute shimmer particles which gives a glow to the lips almost feels like you have lip gloss on but moisturizes the lips like lip balm. This is my go to lip balm for everyday use as it feels almost like the natural color of my lips

-Pink Peony
According to me this shade is the least pigmented and just moisturizes the lips, but if glided for a few times the color builds up on the lips and looks like a salmon pink color, which is great when you need a sheer color on those girl's day out shopping with your besties!

Pros of Maybelline Baby Lips Brights Collection
  • Brighter lip tint
  • Keeps lips hydrated for 4 hours
  • Smells great
  • Makes lips soft and supple
  • Contains spf  16
  • Hygienic & cute packaging
  • Affordable
Summing up, this is a good pick if you love bright lip colors that hydrates and protects your lips.
